This has become a pretty lame rivalry with both teams pretty much sucking now.

Maybe the Sens can pull one out in this one though.

I just have to laugh at this team.

To me it looks like certain players have already mailed it in this year. The majority of them being the veterans on the team.

I can't wait for Kovalev to leave especially...

That's what I've been saying all year...lol

This team really shouldn't be this bad...but they are.

I can't wait until changes are made because it looks like they are definitely needed now.

Time to sell assets and rebuild. The prospect pool is already deep on D and Robin Lehner looks like a keeper.

Ship whoever you can out this year for picks and prospects and sign a couple of good forwards with the Kovalev, Ruutu, Leclaire cap space and this team could contend again within a couple of years. Particularly if they can tank into a top 5 pick.

It looks that way kenny...

Luckily there are some good D prospects as you pointed out and Lehner appears to be the goalie of the future.

If they can get an elite forward prospect in there as well then that would be perfect.

Next year might not be much better either though and I really wouldn't be opposed to just letting these prospects continue to develop. Although Karlsson is probably the best player on the team, I feel like he was rushed. He would be a lot more polished right now if he had been give some extra time I feel.

Just saw that Neil called out some of his teammates after the game.

“The frustration level is definitely there. I think you need every one to compete hard, finish checks, get pucks in deep. You need every one on the same page. We didn't have that tonight. I think the first period and a half in Columbus, we didn’t have that either."

“It’s like you think you have a switch and you can turn it on, but it doesn’t work that way. You’ve got to go out and work hard every shift."

“Obviously, the other team is going to have some chances as well, but it’s how you rebound from them. We weren’t able to do that tonight.”

Nice to see somebody show some real frustration for once.

It baffles me because I think the Sen's have more talent than their record shows. Trying to figure out teams at times can be a challenge.

Is it me or did the Sens reach a new low after last nights performance?

No, it's not just you. The Sens did reach a new low after the game last night and it was the type of loss where you see a coach get fired afterwords.

I can see changes coming though. This won't go on for much longer.

Do Senators fans feel Murray is the right person to make the necessary changes to the team?

Not really. He's drafted pretty well but his personnel decisions have been horrid since he first took over.

Unless he's going to be the man who is going to rebuild then he should be fired and somebody else should take over.
