Johnny Cueto come on down. The Sox are 3 games above .500 for the first time since 4/17. I cringe to call upon the Good Guys to break a seal on the season and take this series from one of the best teams in MLB, but that's where I'm going out of concern for @Jiddy's mental health.

Anyway, my wife and I just bought a place in Bronzeville on the other side of 90/94 from Bridgeport. I told my wife I’m going to call our new neighborhood East Bridgeport. She said that wouldn’t sit well with the few remaining Bronzevillers since the area is gentrifying rapidly. I get to call myself a Bridgeporter though since I still own my building there. That's a really nice and muuuuuuuch needed win, though. The kind of win that we have failed to get consistently all season long up until tonight.

I am just really pleasantly surprised at that 8th inning rally. When Houston scored 2 early, I was like "Yup. That's how this game goes." and my girlfriend laughed at me for going through the same old endless loop with this team again.

Just... man. That was nice. Cease vs Verlander tomorrow. Should be great. If we take that one, I'm going to actually get my hopes up that we might get hot. Which scares the shit out of me. I have hopes... but I'll believe we win tomorrow when I see it. I do think Cease shows up. Just a matter of whether or not someone besides Abreu can hit Verlander. (Abreu has a phenomenal history against Verlander)

I think we can count the number of times on our hand when the Sox came from behind in late innings this year. I think we can count the number of times on our index finger when the Sox came from behind in late innings this year against a dominant ballclub. That was amazing and one can only hope the team feeds off this and keeps the mojo going.

Wow. I am so pleasantly stunned at the last two evenings and at this now "streak". I am terrified of diving headfirst into the energy that seems to be building again, but man... good vibes suddenly. No doubt.

Can't help but feel like we need to win tomorrow with Kopech going in order to avoid having it sucked right out of us. I have very little faith in Giolito to do so on Thursday. I feel like he's going to get beat up. Dropping two straight heading into Cleveland would take a lot of the mojo away.

If we win again tomorrow. I may have to stop holding back. I'll be one happy ass fan.
