One of the biggest changes this year will be that each team will play every team in the opposite league... With this change, the divisional games are reduced from 76 to 52....

So much for divisional rivals... Winning your division is now meaningless....

IMO... Interleague games should be a novelty, not a regular part of baseball. (Maybe 12-16 a year. Not 40!)

Now that the leagues are the same, I want alignment similar to the NBA (geographically based). I have spelled out my proposal for actual alignment in past threads. Then, do inter league similar to how the NFL does it (face one or two divisions from the opposite league each year). Keep an unbalanced schedule so the playoffs are actually exciting matchups and the division races actually have umph.
