The two quotes smashed together that made it seem like he was talking trash about Jones were from two separate conversations with GQ. His quote of "Blows My Mind" was a discussion on how he went number 1 and Jones went number 6 and he thought neither would go that high, which was one of his final interviews done recently before the article was published. His quote about "you got to win" came from a conversation from back in April with GQ when he was discussing his own playing on the field. Neither of the two quotes were even from the same conversation or during the same interview or even under the same topic.

GQ did what the media does, half ass write articles and smashing quotes together to start a shit storm and get people and the media to start throwing shade at someone.

GQ has a history of doing this, so I believe Baker when he says that they completely took those statements out of context and combined them together to appear as something they weren't. Apparently, he was shocked Jones went #6 "just like I was shocked I went #1". Then, when he brought up winning as a QB in college, it was entirely unrelated to Jones and merely discussing the method of evaluating QB's.
