I would sure like to see the skins sign this guy and put that big wide ass over the center, and move Coefield to DT where I think he would be more effective....raji is still fairly young, will tie up blockers, and I would think 5 Mil a season +/- would get him here...I believe he would make our team better!!!!

For some strange reason Lonewater, targeted FA don't seem to want to come to D.C. Gruden will have to create the environment.

He absolutely would make the team better but will he make us better in 3 years? Or would we be better off in 3 years holding onto that future cap money and spend it then?

I would take a hard look. He collapses the pocket and will result in more sacks for Rak and Kerrigan as the QB gets flushed into their arms. This only helps a suspect secondary. If we can sign him to a 3-5 year deal, absolutely.

Yes he would make us better in 3 years.....He is in his prime right now, and as people are saying, why would anyone want to come to DC?? Well you need to win games, and in the next 3 years he would be helping the team do that!!!

I realize the need to look to the future, but do you really think that the FO is thinking...ok I gotta save money for 3 years down the line? NO way.....in the end this is a results business and if the Skins are no better off in 3 years....Allen and the FO are in trouble....

Exactly....That is my thinking all the way....He may not get sacks, but he would draw double teams more often then not I believe, both in the running and passing game

If you are truly trying to build a team...yes the FO is looking at three years.

27 isn't...but 30 is and a cap penalty of 4 mil because you cut the new old guy is painful.

30 may or may not be old....Wilfork was over 30 and still a monster player.....and just curious.....where did this 4 mil cap hit come from anyway?? you already know how the contract would be structured? Wow!! Im impressed

Wilfork is far better than Raji first off.

The 4 mil cap hit is a low ball of what it would take to cut Raji if and when his play suffers. He's going to want 20 mil guaranteed and a chunk of that will likely be a signing bonus. Let's say it's a signing bonus of 10 mil and he signs a five year contract...if you cut him in the end...that's 4 mil.
