Bad QB and bad coaches will equal losses. There is just nothing more to say.

How about throwing Mary Jones in that list. 61 yards rushing???

We have no defense, and no rushing game. Which is why we were passing from 1st and goal on the 7 three times in a row.

It's all coaching and play calling my friend. Bad Qb throws. We should of won that game easily. Norman came up with a big turnover and we squandered it. KC could not hit an open WR deep. Stupid fade routes to Doctson and Reed were inexcusable.

The defense was bad but got some stops that should of made us win. I put the game on KC. He was clueless today getting beat out by a rookie in his 2nd career game.

that is another thing. Smith has been invisible.

JOnes has been invisble aside from the one TD. 61 yards rushing..... IM not defending Kirk... but Jones sucks hot moose balls.

I'm just happy the Skins played the game against a rookie QB. Cuz somebody told me there's no way the Skins will lose to Dallas with a rookie QB. So......wait....what?

I thought he avg 5 yards a carry? YOu cant blame him for the play calling. Worst red zone play calling I have seen in awhile. We were one of the best last year.

Yeah, I can't blame Jones for this loss. The Skins ran the ball 17 times, 2 runs by Cousins, today.

This wasn't a give the football to your RBs 15 times total type of game. Meanwhile Cousins has already attempted 99 passes this year and threw 3 more passes in this game than he did last week. Giving more credence to the rumor or whatever you wanna call it. That Gruden doesn't want to be a running team.

Go ahead and blame Gruden & Jones all you like. The fact of the matter is that the offensive issues for this game fall squarely on Cousins - period. He has more than adequate protection & tons of weapons yet he still falls short & continues to make killer mistakes. He blew a TD pass to a wide open Jackson & would have had another TD to Doctson if he hits him in stride. Combine that with his killer INT & another dropped INT & this is very disturbing.

Thank God that they didn't sign him to a long term deal. He is rightfully auditioning now & thus far falling way short. He better step it up during the next several weeks. If not - oh well - they will find another QB - whoever - next offseason

The scheme was fine. If Cousins doesn't blow 2 sure TDs & not try to constantly force the ball into the corner of the end zone they probably approach 40 pts & win going away. The coach can't ensure that this guy won't play like crap at the wrong times.

You may be right. I personally don't see a game plan that calls for 44 passes a game from KC as a recipe for success. Especially if he starts chuckin up those at the very worst time, soul crushing INTs again.

Yep - when you put it that way I can see your pt. Maybe that means that Cousins is not rt guy. With those weapons you don't want to be a predominately running team. I also would not pay a QB upwards of $20 million per year to basically be a game manager

I can see your point as well. The short yardage dump-offs, screens to both WRs and RBs, have in large part replaced the running game for many teams, some of whom, GB and NE, have won SBs with the recipe. Plus in Jones and Thompson at RB. I think the Skins have the type of skill-set players well suited for that offense. Unfortunately the Skins also have the type of defense and Def Co, who imo is more at fault than the defense right now. That needs a lot of protecting and even if the offense is running a great dink n dunk or short passing game, That can still result in quick offense possessions and having your defense playing a lot of possessions.

Another thing concerning this season and the running game is. I don't think either Jones or Thompson would hold up for an entire season as a 20 carry a game or even 17/18 carry a game RB. Maybe they can combine for 24/25 carries a game and that might be enough. You're right though or it seems like you should be right about the 20 mill per/game manager situation.

Here's Tyrod Tyler's just signed contract. Tyrod Taylor Contract Details, Salary Cap Charges, Bonus Money | Over The Cap

The numbers I found to be of greatest interest is Tyler's contract being 19th highest among 91 QBs, Now I don't know how much that number would change if starting QBs only salaries were the benchmark. I doubt it drops significantly though and if that's the case. Here we have a game manager QB pulling in 18 mill per.
