Two weeks ago, Edmonton's Taylor Hall enjoyed his first career two-goal game during a 5-0 romp over the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.
And in the time since, his club has gone 6-3-1, notwithstanding their 2-1 loss to Vancouver on Sunday.
So Hall, 18, was in a pretty good frame of mind when looking ahead to tonight's visit from the Leafs at Rexall Place.
"Hopefully we can compete a lot harder (than on Sunday). Because (Toronto) is a team that, if we do, it's there for the taking," Hall reportedly said at practice on Monday.
It would appear to be bulletin board material at the very least, and at a time where Toronto's recent home drubbing at the hands of the Oilers is still very fresh on the minds of the Blue and White
he then went on to add ... "nice fuckin trade Burke!" (well not really but he shoulda)
