How about nominating... oh I don't know...Sidney fucking Crosby? A guy who comes back from career-threatening concussion issues and dominates the league vs. a guy who just happens to avert a suspension for 40 or so games for the first time in his career. I know who I'd pick for the Masterton.

I understand what Edwards said was wrong but I wish Savard was standing there with them. Shero has never as far as I know said anything about Cooke's behavior which has caused many injuries and at least one career. Remember that line in Ace Ventura from Ray Finkle's mother about Dan Marino dying from gonorrhea? You could easily change that to Cooke.

Yeah, I agree with most of you...but that was 2012's news. And Edwards deserves some crap for that...not okay at all. BUT, he knew that it wasn't, immediately regretted the comments. That said: Shero has every right to be irate...that's a very inappropriate and inflammatory comment to make. We can be all easy going about it on here in regards to tearing a player down, but on a national broadcast it's NOT okay to say that about a player, even one with Cooke's track record. I'm sure that's what Ray said.

The funny thing is, I don't WANT Cooke nominated for that. I don't want him to play that game. I want him to be a thorn in a team's side...every team needs that guy that just pisses everyone off. There's a place for that. There's not a place for injuring other teams players. BUT, Cooke is most effective when he's annoying the other team...so please, continue to be a bastard out there. Just do it legally.
