The road team has not had much success on Thurs.night...I think that changes tonight I think the Falcons even up the season series with Tampa by winning 24-20.
??? I thought the Falcons were the road team
They are, did I screw up another post?
Or do you think TB is going to win?
Falcons are the better team, no question, but lately the Bucs have had their number...the current streak is 3 straight wins over the Falcons...the interior OL of ATL has had trouble controlling the DL of TB...Gerald McCoy in particular has feasted on the Falcons run game and passing attack....seems like he gets a sack every time they play. ATL brought in big FA C Alex Mack to address the interior of the OL and in game one (week 1) you would not have not known the Falcons made any change on the OL.
Mack has since settled in and is the clear leader on that OL..McCoy is still going to make plays but I expect a different outcome down in Tampa. ATL has won 5 of the last 7, TB has lost 4 of the 6 games since the week one matchup.
Freeman is good to go, Tevin Coleman is still out with a hammy for ATL, the Bucs are down to their 4th RB option, Antoine Smith has some game, but rarely seems to stick anywhere long...should be a good game that few people will watch.

I agree, the NFL seems to be about law of averages always evening out, and Atlanta losing 4 straight to a mediocre, and banged up Tampa team doesn't seem likely....My only slight hesitation is that if Tampa has any playoff aspirations, their season is basically on the line tonight
I predict beginning tonight, Austin Hooper becomes a weapon Atlanta can rely on this season
