IF the Patriots stay here or go higher.... Will BB do what he always does and trade away a very high pick for a 2nd/3rd rounder or is this the year he keeps it?

That's the best news we've got here... I won't advocate for tanking since, in my opinion, it's a form of "gaining a competitive advantage" an we have enough stink of that around here.

At this point, technically they aren't talking but playing like they are

Greater value in "trading" or staying with 9th or higher pick?
Sorry was in a hurry. Greater value in trading pick. BB does better drafting in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and IMO the talent drop off is not that much. I would much rather have a wider variety of choices to build a team than hings my bets on a top 10 or 15 pick.

True He really hasn't had too much success drafting in the first round.. Though they might need to draft a QB this season, again

I am sure they plan to draft a QB just not sure that would be done in round one if they did keep the pick. I think there will be some FA QBs BB may look at.

Is Trevor Lawrence committing to the draft or sticking it out for another year?

Depends.
If the guy he want's at 9 is picked at 7 or 8, and the next guy can be had later and bill can trade the 9 and still get a player that will help the team, plus additional draft ammo, the trade has value.

If he spends the nine on a Jordan Richards? No value.

No idea... Though he now is missing his 2nd game due to Covid - He might, just might stay at Clemson

Walter says that he's coming out and that the jets will take him. Talk about a career ending place to go...........

Walter is saying that the Patriots will pick 11th:

New England Patriots: Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

The Patriots have the worst receiving corps in the NFL. The only viable player they have at the position is Julian Edelman, who will be 35 next offseason.

Jaylen Waddle looks to be the next great Alabama receiver to enter the NFL. He's one of the quickest players in college football.

Bleacher Reports says that BB will trade out of #9 and pick up a late first and a third and will be looking completely out of what everyone is thinking:

27. New England Patriots — OT Jalen Mayfield, Michigan

How the Patriots rebuild an offense that was tailored around Tom Brady will be fascinating to watch. One early look at the future of the roster indicates that offensive tackle could be a sneaky need if the team moves on from Marcus Cannon or if 2018 first-rounder Isaiah Wynn doesn't play up to expectations.
Michigan's Jalen Mayfield popped up often in 2019 when coaches were asked about toughest linemen to play against. He's strong, physical and athletic—qualities that already have him compared to 2020 first-rounder Jedrick Wills after he started every game in his true sophomore season at right tackle.
