How much does he get to keep from the 2.6 million for one day/week?

The recent board format changes, from a few months ago, are worse.

My link was about the Mavericks signing Barea for a one year $2.6 million deal and then waving him the next week. I could see that as being paid less than that, but the owner said that he wanted to give it to him as a gift. So therefore I wonder if it was all guaranteed. and there had to be a timing in this so that did not kill against the cap in the same way.

Why didn't you TELL ME that Derrick Favors was back with the Jazz? We could have had a funny thread title!

@MHSL82, why didn't you tell me that Jokic was averaging a triple double??!!

I've been so disappointed that LeBron James isn't going to average double digit assists this year, that I missed that Jokic is averaging a triple double!

I hope Jokic keeps it up all year. And I hope Westbrook and Doncic can also accomplish that feat.

For the Jazz, I wonder when they'll have a 2+ steal a game player.

No, James isn't the MVP. Durant, Jokic, maybe Antetokounmpo.

James needs those double digit assists like last year. :(

I posted for the fewest minutes, slowest pace factors of body preservation.

But James isn't playing to preserve his body. He wants to play every game, and still play all out.

Which I like.

I just wish he could average double digit assists.

Oh, and add Paul George to the MVP list. I don't know how someone who lead the league in steals a few years ago, is averaging 1.2 this year though. :( He needs to average 2+ to top my MVP list.

He doesn’t do load management, he does a hybrid. He plays fewer minutes and his court pace is slow. I posted because they measured these nextgen stats.

I'm not sure if this really preserves energy. Playing at a faster pace, could conserve energy, because shots are more open.

Whereas a slower pace, would involve more body collisions and physical defense.

I'm not sure if fewer minutes means less energy expended.

He may have to play even harder, and enduring more contact, during those minutes.

Then if he played more, but had an easier time.

I don't want him taking more 3's.

I don't want my PG shooting more 3's. If he shoots, I want him to draw fouls, and get the other team in foul trouble; stealing; rebounding; and assisting.

Hornets broadcasters:

"Biyombo with the slam.

That was like Karl Malone."

Other than the Malone comparison, I like the Hornets broadcasters.

I'd only accept a Malone comparison if it was a dunk of the week candidate, meaning it was so good it might be the best dunk across the entire league for the week.
