This constant referring to Arnie as "Mr. Palmer" seems so contrived and phony. The false reverence seems so trite. You'd think he was a god or something not just one of the greats in the history of golf.

I understand respect but this seems contrived and why just Palmer? Does he seem like a guy who would want to be called “Mr Palmer”? Everything I’ve heard would suggest that he’d just like to be known as “Arnie”

If you say "good morning Mr. Palmer" and he responds by saying "call me Arnie" then that's fine. Until then though........

I'm firmly entrenched in late middle age and I still call my best friends dad Mr. That's the way I was raised.

So do I but this Mr Palmer thing seems contrived to me. I guess its better than being disrespectful though.

You could tell it was killing NBC that Westwood was in the lead ....it was killing there Spieth storyline.
I love Jordon but they were really fawning over for him.

They don't seem like NBC wanted to get behind Bryson either ...you get the feeling they still thinking he's to gimmicky.

I was cheering for lee. He just couldn't take advantage when the opportunity was there. Bryson hitting those bombs is what was carrying the broadcasts.....bring on next weeks fun #17

If you want to show respect for Arnold Palmer, instead of calling him "Mr. Palmer", how about showing up at his tournament. Only 1 of the top ten players in the world bothered to play in the event. Not exactly what I would call "respect" for The King.
