we could get some really bad news tonight or tommorow.

We added an OF for todays game because Dickerson was ailing(hamstring, no DL for him yet so ) and Marte got hit in the hand today and came out of the game.....

Our young catcher can come close to replacing Cervelli's(concussions, they are talking about quality of life after BB/ not catching anymore, so that aint good) production, but no way in hell we can take Dickerson and Marte out and not go into the toliet.

I think like we talked about much earlier in the season, they probably aren't talented enough to reliably contend, but a few things going their way and they'll be in the mix and here we are and they're in the mix. A few bounces here and there and they're in the WC game.

Gonna be interesting to see how they respond to this win streak at the deadline.

the lineup's pretty good though I'm disappointed with Josh Bell's season, his power just evaporated. Rays are looking awfully silly for cutting Dickerson though.

that rotation sucks. Taillon and Musgrove are the only two with an ERA+ north of 100, and they're barely above that. That defense isn't doing them any favors either.

I don't think so and especially with the injury bug that hit them today.

But I will say this, the Pirates put some big time interest back into MLB during the past couple of weeks.

Probably no. the ownership of this team just does not make any moves of real importance.
Yes, we need a frontline starter. Nova just isn't good enough. We also could use a younger shortstop. Mercer has zero range.

Unfortunately no. Theyll beat some teams in the second half that will make it interesting but the biggest problem the Pirates have faced is the division they are in. Couldnt get past the Cards and then the Cubs and Cards. Now the Brewers are added in.

Bendys, Welcome aboard! I'm basically a newbie here too but I have found this place to be a great site. My Cardinals have the same problem that your Pirates have chasing teams above us in the standings but your Pirates recently put a charge into MLB interest with their 11 game winning streak so congratulations to them for doing that. I look forward to our communications.
