The Pistons finally appear serious in their pursuit of a play-in spot with the acquisition of former Pacer Bojan Bogdanovic. This move presumably takes them out of consideration for this dubious distinction.

I've read articles over the offseason that if anything happens to Haliburton, there is no second ballhandler here (TJM thrives more as a pure energy guy off the bench)...

So are the Pacers actually the worst or will they find a way to overachieve?

One ought to know about being the worst team in the east.

2008.
Wow, 14 years ago. Since then, Miami has won 3 titles. What has Indiana done, ever?

And in that season, Miami had lost Wade for most of the year. But, logic.

You're exactly right. The Warriors were a horseshit franchise for the vast majority of their existence in between Rick Barry and Steph Curry.

Then they suddenly became good and that's when you showed up.

You have to admit that J-Will, Penny, and Smush Parker was a most epic collection of point guard characters on a real team, probably ever.
The GOAT GM everyone - Mr. Pat Riley.

Precisely how they landed James and Bosh was by tanking and gutting almost literally their entire payroll. Let me manage a team in South Florida and chances are I could do the same thing.

Nice swipe at the Pistons. They weren't going to be the worst team even before the trade. Bey is better than Bojan. I do like the trade for adding depth, moving 2 for 1 from an over crowded roster, and shedding Kelly though. I doubt Bojan is on the roster next year.

Considering the biggest tankers are out West and the Magic are getting Isaac back plus Suggs can't be as bad as he was last year....yes it's very possible, and possible that it still won't net you a high pick.

Charlotte is a fun dark horse after losing Bridges, but if they're the worst team in the east they burned multiple high picks on Bouk and Kai Jones, and maybe Williams.

Rozier and Hayward staying healthy (along with Ball obviously) would keep them above that line.

The Pacers are fantastically bad right now, probably the worst of the teams who basically haven't admitted they're throwing games (looking at you Utah and OKC...), but they have positioned themselves pretty well.

I might try to sell Duarte considering his age though, could probably net 2 firsts for him and increase your chances of catching the aforementioned tanktastic franchises.

Hey man wait a damn minute. The Pacers have multiple ABA championships. What the hell did the Heat do in the ABA?

I would say if there not the worst the one of them. Just like there’s a handful of good teams in the league. Then there’s the rest of the league in my opinion

There is a large middle class in the nba right now for sure.

The difference between the like Knicks and like the kings is not as great as we probably think

One injury or unplanned breakout can flip them pretty easily

I'm confused. Both the Knicks and the Kings suck. An injury flipping them, they both still suck. Not much of a change at all.

The Knicks with Brunson could be like a middling 6 seed in the East
