well, i never thought the browns would be close to playoff contention this season. However, i do have to say their defense is for real and should win them a few games this year.

they are favored thursday against the jets. i hope they get a win.

At the very least they will be a legit pain in the ass to any team they play. Their defense is very good, and it looks as though they solved their QB and kicker issue. The question mark is still the O line

Who are you really confident in in the AFC? Jacksonville ? New England? Maybe KC? Maybe ( maybe) the Chargers ? After that it's a bunch of blah. No reason I've seen so far to think Ckeveland is any worse than 4 or 5 other teams theyd be in competition with for a WC. If anything I'd say they are about as bad off as they could possibly be right now at 1-1-1

There really isn't any position group that is necessarily a glaring weakness. Losing Joe Thomas will hurt, but otherwise, they've made drastic wholesale changes to every position group.

Other than "because they're the Browns", is there any actual legit reason to think this team isn't a playoff contender?
