In no way do I think we are getting in the playoff unless every single 1-loss team loses at least 1 more time, every other undefeated team loses to it's worst opponent and we keep winning, which is a slim chance and by slim, I mean not a chance at all.

All I'm saying is UCF deserves a little more credit than it's getting and, in my opinion, are a better team than some of those ahead of us. We've beaten the "shitty" teams we've faced by at least 20 points except for Memphis last week. Our win margins are 39, 38, 20, 31, 28, 1 and 27. So yes, we are beating bad competition compared to most, but we are dominating them. I don't see any other team punished for it's weak schedule. Alabama's best win is against Texas A&M, don't see them getting punished for their weak schedule.

We're not getting punished because the team we beat by 29 just beat the team you beat by 1, by 32.

Who have you beaten...

UCONN...beaten by 30 by even .500 P5 teams
SC State....LOL
FAU...again, boat raced by the only P5 team they played
Pitt....Sure, they beat Tech and Cuse, but the got clubbed like a baby seal by #17 Penn State.
SMU....lost by 25+ to both P5 teams they played
Memphis...they are 4-4 and lost by 32 to a team that hasn't won an SEC game this year
East Carolina....they are 2-5 and haven't had a winning season since 2014

Your entire schedule has 1 P5...over fucking 1-5 UNC

Your schedule is 18-32 playing a largely G5 schedule. You've beaten 1 P5 team and your opponents have beaten 3.

By contrast

Our schedule is 28-30 playing a largely P5 shedule, We've beaten 6 P5 teams and our opponents have beaten another 9.

The real question is what have you done to deserve being a top 10 team. Show me another team in the top 10 that wouldn't be 7-0 playing your schedule. Hell, 3/4 of the teams from 10-25 have a better win than you.

If we were BARELY beating these teams, then I'd see why we aren't ranked or ranked high. But we are killing these teams, aside from Memphis.

aside from Memphis...who just lost by 32 to SEC winless Missouri.

Same reason Alabama is ranked above Notre Dame.

However, UCF loses to Alabama, UCF drops 20+ spots. If Alabama loses to UCF, they drop under 10 spots. That is where the weaker schedule would come into play. But UCF has looked like the best mid-major team coming off a great 2017-18 year.

tallest midget.

I just love the fact that he’s actually bragging about beating what is just about all scrubs so far, and thinking they should be ranked over Oklahoma as well. The one common opponent between the 2, (in which UCF beat by 20) we absolutely destroyed by 49. And that was with pulling our starting QB with about 5 minutes left before halftime, then letting nothing but 2nd stringers and 3rd stringers finish the game. Optimism is fine, but dude needs a little objectivity until they play some better teams.

I actually didn't think their schedule was as bad as it is until I started looking 18-32 with only 1 P-5 team on there and a shitty one. They are clearly only ranked because of last year. App State has looked better than them, UCF wouldn't fair any better against Penn St. They are going to pimp out that Auburn win worse than Boise State ever thought about doing with that Fiesta Bowl.

This is dumb.

And I wish UCF was playing Alabama just so I could take your vcash if you'd be dumb enough to bet that. You are 100% backwards.

Just say you're an idiot who puts more into record than SoS so we can move on.

You look at SOS. Do you agree with Alabama #1?

If someone wants to put ND #1 because they have a better schedule/win/resume I'm fine with that. I'm also fine with someone putting Alabama #1 on the eye test.

UCF passes neither.

When your QB hasn’t thrown a pass in the 4th quarter all year and you’ve scored 100 points more than anyone else in the 1st half of games. It is safe to say Bama passes the eye test and is not only the #1 team, but would most likely be favored by double digits over basically every team.

They could be averaging 80 ppg this year if they didn’t pull their starters at halftime every game:lol:

Shit I bet Iowa could hold them to no more than 55.

All they have to do is play 2 decent teams in their OOC and they would be in the playoffs no problem - provided they won them.

However, it's the same story every time when it comes to these teams. Soon as they start scheduling more difficult teams - they no longer go undefeated.

Alabama has been wanting a team to replace the FCS game, UCF should take that date.

I'm sure Notre Dame would do a home and home with Alabama to get that FCS team off the schedule.

Whoah, whoah. whoah -

Let's get this thread back on track.

First - how is Michigan NOT ranked #1, and also - Ohio State losing to a 3-3 unranked opponent drops...that far?

It probably has something to do with losing to Notre Dame to start the season.

In fairness to scheduling, Texas did drop an upcoming scheduled HOME game with UCF.

But, that was scheduled before the Big 12 went to 9 conference games and they had to choose which team to drop.
Texas actually played a true road game at UCF first and only dropped another home return game.

Some team called the ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE wanted to play a series instead, so Texas replaced UCF.
It was either play UCF or play this shitty ass program from someplace called Tuscaloosa.

I hope the folks in Austin don't regret missing out on that sweet UCF ticket sales money in exchange for Bama ticket sales.

Louisville - 2-5 - best win is over Western Kentucky
Arkansas State - 4-3 - best win is over SE Missouri State, an FCS school
Ole Miss - 5-3 - an okay win, best win is over Texas Tech
#16 Texas A&M - 5-2 - solid win
Louisiana - 3-4 - best win is over Grambing State, an FCS team who is 3-4
Arkansas - 2-6 - wins over Eastern Illinois, an FCS team and Tulsa, a combined 3-12
Missouri - 4-3 - best win is over Purdue
Tennessee - 3-4 - best win is over a declining Auburn team

All I'm saying by this is let's not pretend Alabama has played any tough teams whatsoever. It's sad that a perennial #1 team is playing teams that are a combined 27-30.

Side Note: We'd be 8-0 if our UNC game wasn't cancelled. What also sucks is when we scheduled UNC, they were playing for an ACC title. Same with Louisville for 2021 and 2022. We scheduled Louisville when they were actually a decent team. We have Stanford next year so that should be a decent game. I believe we still have 1 or 2 OOC slots open for 2020 so write your universities and tell them you want UCF! lol

Didn't a 7-4 UCF team, that was a 1-AA team at the time beat
Alabama at Bama's homecoming game in 2000?

Asking for a friend...

Again, you can break it down any way you want. You and all the teams you have played have a combined 4 wins over P5 competition. We have 6 and our opponents have another 9. Purdue, Texas Tech and Auburn are all teams that no one on your schedule could beat.

IF you eliminate us from our opponents schedule, they are 28-22, if you eliminate you from your opponents schedule, they are 18-25.

What about your schedule indicates to you that you would be a clear winner over half the teams we've beaten this year. Just looking at common opponents says that Ole Miss, A&M, Missouri and Tennessee would give you all you wanted.

I would hope we would have more sense than to schedule UCF, by 2020 y'all will probably be back to 6-6.
