...December in Buffalo. Figured there's a good amount of folks in the N.E. on here.

Was brushing up on prospects and found this in The Free Press today. Red Wings draftees may compete in world junior tournament | freep.com | Detroit Free Press

I hope Sheahan makes Team Canada, I'd like to see as much as I can from the big guy.
But Teemu Pulkkinen is the one that has me intrigued the most. He impressed at the U18 tourney. He also has potential to put up a lot of numbers quick, imo. Not much of a two way player, but practicing alongside Pav and Z would probably help just about anybody in that dept.

I really want to. I'll have to see what it will cost me and what not, but Buffalo is not too far a drive for me so this is a good chance to attend.

i really wish i could. in fact, if i were going to school closer to home i would, but it's just not a quick pitstop from Indiana. wait...that's the holidays! maybe i will! but probably not...most likely i'd have to chose between that and the winter classic.

i definately plan on making the trek up from jersey....
but i understand, and correct me if i'm wrong, that you have to buy your tickets in packages?
single game tickets would be far more convenient

I'm not sure. I think they do have single game tickets but they may be limited.

They have a site for the games I will try and find it again tomorrow and post it.

thanks man....
the one problem even with this is, esp being right along the canadian border, you're most likely going to have to get your tickets asap

They don't sell single game tickets yet, from what I can tell. You can always buy from an independent seller though. Sure you'll have to pay more but if you wanna go, it might be the only way.

I want to take my dad to the tourney next time it is in Europe.
It kills me to see hockey of this caliber played in front of half-empty stadiums

First of all, Tox, I told you all that pron would wear your ass out...:D

Dec. 26 - New England at Buffalo and the World Juniors. Gonna take some sweet talkin', but I'm gonna try my ass off to make this happen. This is gonna be tricky, as our new baby will be around a month old.

Whoa, What makes you think it will be half empty? puckhead this is a sports town and when the NCAA basket ball regionals were held here last year Buffalo had the highest attendance of all the cities that had them.

The frozen four was here a couple of years ago and you couldn't find a ticket for those games.

I know people like to beat up on Buffalo but when they shut down season tickets for the Sabres because they want some available to the general public and the Bill's have over 50,000 season ticket holders and most of the games for the coming season are already sold out, a team that hasn't made the playoffs in ten years that's a bad wrap.

Buffalo may not be the best city in the country but when it comes to sports there are die hard fans here. Look at the NHL TV ratings and I guarantee Buffalo is ALWAYS in the top four (at least)

Don't forget about the kid from Iowa that has always dreamed of seeing a Bills home game! He's gotta count for something. :D

I was talking about Europe, Boss. There seems to be entire empty sections when i watch on the tube.
hopefully Scandinavia, I don't know who gets the next tourney over there, since the Swiss pulled out.

If ever want to make the trip down Auto maybe we could see a game together. The Bills will probably lose but Oh well. ;)

I'm thinking about pulling the Niagra falls angle. The wifey might fall for that one, she's wanted to go there forever.:D
