Any cool converting-people-to-hockey stories?

I was just wondering if anyone had any interesting stories about converting people to becoming fans of the game.

I can't say I have anything really interesting. I've converted most of my friends into moderate fans. The one I converted I consider a minor miracle since this was the kid that thought when a team pulled their goalie, the goalie joined the offense, and he also asked me if we could play videogames instead of watching the hockey game during game five of '08 Cup finals when we were in the second overtime.

My dad has turned into a hardcore fan, and the Pens have usurped the Steelers and Pitt Panthers as his number one team. He watches every game he can.

Any converting stories out there?

I've always like Penny Arcade. That was a good one. I had a conversation like this with my residents once. I also had a conversation with my girlfriend once about how Beauty and the Beast is totally a story of Stockholm Syndrome.

Thank you! I'll be a little over an hour away from the arena, but I'm all about getting to all the games I can. The tickets are probably like $5 or something.

I cannot take credit. I merely agreed. It was either my girlfriend or one of her housemates who said it. I did mention something about it being the perfect model for a girl getting into an abusive relationship in an effort to "fix" the guy. Except that it worked in this case. Maybe that's why there are so many crappy relationships...
