You know when the rumors started that the Seahawks were going to sign Antoine Winfield, my thoughts were...he's to old...however after watching his play on the field last I gotta say the guy really brings it! Watch this YTube highlight and tell me what you think. He may be the best tackling CB ever!

Seahawks will see a lot of 3 receiver set teams over the season and AW should help free up the backfield with his ability to cover the slot. Wouldn't be surprised to see him rotate around and not be used just in the nickle. Trufant was on the downside as it was, but needed help against faster runners and this is an upgrade.

Yes! How many times did we see teams get a first down on 3rd and long? I don't think Trufant was ever cut out to cover a slot receiver. Unless Winfield falls off a cliff, he'll be a upgrade!

Winfield is the best nickel CB in the game IMO. He may be older, but he just wants to play ball. This wasn't about money for him, it was about winning. I'll take an older guy who still has gas in the tank, for one season if those are his motivating factors.

Winfield will bring that vet calm and coolness factor to our young team,the guy knows how to read what offenses are doing and he is slippery and sneaks past the line.

Winfield was a good pick up for you guys, I know a lot of 49er fans were not happy with it. A good slot guy who is very good against the run. A good pick up for sure.
