Wow, might as well add a direction to your name. If you can't claim an acronym as your own that's pretty sad. When people see UM, they don't think the University of Minnesota.

Could be they are thinking the University of Mississippi.

But, Minnesota does occasionally come to mind.

It throws me off when people say MSU and are talking about Mississippi State or USC and mean South Carolina.

Because those people are wrong. USC is not South Carolina, no matter how much South Carolina wants it to be.

I lived in S. Carolina back in the 90's. I can tell you that to the locals USC is S. Carolina. To say people in their own state are wrong for what they call the program is silly on your part.

Those people are wrong. When you say "USC" it means one thing. I don't care if you call something Soda, Soda Pop or Pop; the people who call it Coke are wrong too.

I don't understand. If he wanted to just easily start in year one why go to Ohio St in the first place? He still would have competed with Tate even if Fields didn't transfer in.
What happened to wait your time and then you will start? Those days are gone.

Exactly.

It's even more crazy considering Haskins was only a Sophomore

Are you saying you're right & everyone else is wrong?

Everyone else? No, only people who think USC = South Carolina.

I generally think of the University of Southern California when I hear "USC," but I can understand the folks in Columbia using it to refer to South Carolina.

On the other hand, when I see the initials, "SC," South Carolina comes immediately to hand. And when I read or hear, "UT," I almost always think of the University of Tennessee.

Yup, "SC" is south Carolina. UT is a harder one.

Ohio St. transfer, huh? Is he a pro-style qb? If he is, he sounds like a LSU candidate.

....wait.....nevermind

They just need to establish a foundation. You can't do that in just 4 years.

Not true. Nick Saban took Alabama from a so-so team his first year to the SEC Championship Game his 2nd year, to the National Title in Year 3.

I should've used the sarcasm font.
