I don't believe a word of what the 49ers are saying about the long-term prognosis. This will be a continual thing, otherwise they would have fixed it the last time he had surgery 8 months ago.

Dissapointing for sure but for me, not ready to say 'wasted frist round pick'.

Being an ACL issue, agree it is better to cut and get it right. Trying to play this season is jeoparding next season AND beyond. No guarantee his knee returns near 100%, but they had to give it a good chance.
