From Hobson on Twitter: "Another tidbit from Lewis: Says Sanu is so versatile he could start at FS. He won't, of course, and says he likes the current safeties."

I really don't like it when people talk about WR switching to FS in the pros, this isn't the minor leagues. A team that's focused on winning a championship doesn't think of stupid shit like this.

I'm fairly certain we're not focused on winning a damn thing.

Gotta get our value out of that 7th round pick we traded

As a Niner fan I feel like we owe you a little more to even things out. I'm willing to ship over some old footballs and a ham sammich' on behalf of Niner Nation.

If you traded us that much, we're ripping you off.

You want another Marvin Jem? Here's a doozy! Instead of moving Rey Maualuga to the Strong-side as has been anticipated it looks like we're stuck with him in the middle again. SMH!

excerpt~

Coach Marvin Lewis said he doesn't "anticipate any change" to Rey Maualuga's position. There had been speculation of moving Maualuga to the outside and Vontaze Burfict to the inside. "I think things will be good the way they are," Lewis told The Cincinnati Enquirer.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I'm pretty sure the Patriots won a couple rings with WRs playing on the other side of the ball. And yes, I'm painfully aware that the Bengals are not the Patriots.

That was more driven by necessity.... And Troy Brown was not all that good at DB -- Phil Simms just liked to pretend he was when announcing the games.

We love talking about switching guys to safety around here.

I swear to God it is like living in football bizarro world as a Bengals fan. The entire NFL outside of Cincinnati views Rey M as one of the worst LB in the league. In this town he is a strong asset to build a defense around. Are the Bengals in denial or is it psychosis or some other issue at play?

I guess the belief is that he "can do it again"

What if he was good because he was on 'roids and he quit them because his family wanted him to? I guess they never think of stuff like that.

I ain't saying he can't be good again, but football is a physical sport, and some of us age faster than others, and that's just a fact of life.

Maybe they will let me play safety. I'm bigger than Tyrann Mathieu and I catch the ball hard.

They also knew the opposing team's hand signals.
