ANOTHER Caps' Rap video

Well done from a local song parody guy.

Though it is somewhat familiar ground, its very clever and pokes fun at our own team in ways true fans would be familiar with ("Semin got a hooking penalty on a shootout attempt"), and also goes after typical targets in new and original ways (the Xbox controller "Crosby" settings).

Oh and best line...
"Barak Obama... Patrick Kane... seems people in Chicago really want their change."

Funny stuff. Did you go to the Pittsburgh "rebuttal" site? Looks like they didn't like it too much. Seems many of their posters didn't get the fact that a lot of it was poking fun at the Caps, not just the Pens. He did one a while back on Arlington that was pretty funny, portraying it like it is 8-Mile or something. Ended with popular local sites, which ended with about 80 Starbucks locations.

Yeah, most of the comments pointed out (1) we are obsessed with Crosby, (2) we have no Cups, or (3) we are not a real rival of theirs. Pretty pathetic. Are we obsessed with Mike Milbury and Patrick Kane? They were mentioned in the song as much as Crosby. Hell, Semin was made fun of more than any other player.

I think the most hilarious comments are how Caps' fans are not real fans and weren't around before the lockout. What's that expression about glass houses...

What they seemed to be missing is that this was the crux of the entire song. He literally "wakes up" in the video to become a Caps fan. Maybe his digs at the Caps were just too straightforward to be understood?
