A football game will be played Sunday that may effectively ensure Andy Reid entry to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

But Reid is, in fact, already a member of the PFHOA: The Professional Fat Guy Hall of Fame.

Peep this:

Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie describes the first time he went out to eat with Andy Reid--and Reid ordered three steaks.

"Basically, when the server comes up and gives their speel, they describe the different cuts of meat, flavor profiles, and textures, he described them to Andy and said, 'Would you like the ribeye, the New York strip, or the filet mignon?' And Andy said, 'Yes.' Like yes to all three. That's kind of how it got started. They put all three in front of him. He put down about 90% of them."

Dallas beat reporters ask Reid for his fondest memory of playing the Cowboys--and Reid describes his personal relationship with a stadium chili dog vendor.

Steve Mariucci and Reid once went to eat a 40-ounce steak to get their photo on the wall of a restaurant. It had to be downed in an hour. Reid put it down...in under 20 minutes.

“Holmgren threw us into the same office, which was more like a closet. So yeah, you get to know someone really well. But it was fun. We started from the bottom like you’re supposed to. We coached against each other in T-ball. And we ate. We ate man. One night we were at the Prime Quarter and we both order a giant 40-ounce steak. This thing is huge. The girl comes out and tells us if we eat this thing in under an hour you get your picture on the wall. Andy finished his in 19 minutes."

It won't be "I'm going to Disneyland" but "I'm going to Golden Corral"

He will say he is going to eat a cheeseburger, seriously. That's what he says. He said it after the AFC title game.

More detail on the now legendary mac and cheese episode:

Reid, the head coach, was joking about a Chiefs strength coach who manages to maintain his trim build despite an encyclopedic familiarity with every burger joint in Kansas City, and McDonald gradually entered the conversation by talking about his two weeks on the road and how much he missed home-cooked meals.

Now the conversation was really on. Reid started talking about his love of soul food, and his fondness for cooking dishes like collard greens and fried chicken, and whether one should put salt or sugar in one’s grits. They started talking about favorite Thanksgiving sides, because everyone in the world loves that particular conversation, even if it’s March.

“I’ve got a great mac and cheese recipe,” Reid said.

“It can’t be as good as my grandma’s,” McDonald noted.

“You want to see it?” Reid asked. “If you want it, I’ll send it to you.”

I'm sure he'll be disappointed with the Lombardi Trophy because he can't fill it with gravy and drink from it like he could with the Stanley Cup

Reid was the only guy that thought that was a tragedy and not a comedy.
