Chiefs fired GM Pioli about 45 minutes before the Reid news came out, which means Reid is most likely getting GM power as well.

If Whisenhunt gets the Buffalo job, then LOL at the NFL who just recycle coaches. Bills will go another 3 years without a winning season and Whisenhunt will get fired. These bad teams just keep hiring coaches who have been fired, and they never get any beneficial results.

I think Andy jumped too quick at this offer. I can't believe a coach of his caliber/rep would want to start a new gig with such a troubled team that's going to required 16-18hr days to straighten.

They still need a QB, don't they? Maybe they will sign Alex Smith or something. They do have a good running game and it is a weak division other than Denver so maybe that has something to do with his decision. I don't think this team is as bad as this years 2-14 just as it wasn't as good as that play-off team a couple years ago that everybody jumped on the bandwagon with Cassell.

I haven't followed them that much, but some of their D personnel in the front 11 look OK. Bold: I've got a feeling Matt Flynn might be available, too.
