Nebraska 2? What a joke. Michigan has only 2 departures and everyone else coming back with a top recruiting class coming in.

These rankings seem really bad. OSU 12? Minnesota as a tourney team? Michigan at 5??

For me it's

1. Michigan State
2. Michigan
3. Purdue
4. Nebraska
5. Indiana
6. Maryland
7. Wisky
8. OSU
9. Iowa
10. Penn St
11. Minnesota
12. NW
13. Illinois
14. Rutgers

This is going to be a really down year in this league. Not only did all the top teams lose significant pieces. The league as a whole scheduled pretty crap OOC schedules. Much like last year, I expect only 4/5 tournament berths.

I don't like Nebraska at #2. I'd be okay with them in the 4-5 spot. But until they can prove they are a top 2 team in the league then I don't trust it.

I don't think we will be as good as we were last year (obviously) but 12th is pretty ridiculous. I think we end up in the 7-10 range and possibly on the bubble depending on how the younger players develop as the year goes on. I trust Holtmann to at least field a competitive squad.

I've doubted Holtmann twice in my life. One year they ended up as a 6 seed, the other year a 5 seed. Ohio State is young but he'll get the best out of them.

I'd take a tournament bid this year as a major bonus. Next year is when I look for things to explode

Freshmen - Muhammad and LeDee are both lower top 100 talents. Duane Washington isnt as highly rated as them but he looks like a potential scorer. Looking for improvements from them as the year goes on.

Kaleb Wesson had a decent freshman season (10.2 PPG 4.9 RPG), he has the buildings of being a key piece moving forward.

Hopefully Kyle Young shows something this year and starts getting better. (He's healthy and i've read good reviews from camp, we will see though)

CJ Jackson and Keyshawn Woods are going to have to step up as the only SRs.

It's mostly about the development of the younger guys with what looks to be a top 10 class coming in next season. 19-20 could be a big year.

The main area of concern for me looking at this team is the lack of a go-to guy offensively now that KBD is in the NBA. I'm guessing Woods becomes something like "that guy" if anyone does.
