There seems ta have been much bickering and childish actions among some of ye, that has started to bring a Disney-esque vibe to the mighty SportsHoopla nation.


All of us here in the Husker SportsHoopla are fine plorsters. We may have a few odd balls, and fellows that I don't really care to read or pay attention to, but they're good Husker fans. I realize that ye all are not going to get along with everyone else on this here site, but we need to do a better job of ignoring those we disagree with, and not take the banter too far.


jedburks and FNG are not the same person. Both certainly have some dissenting opinions, but it can be valuable to this site, and to discussions. BRS got caught up in a little of the banter here too, and he's a fine plorster as well. This isn't the only instance of posts going beyond the point of decent debate, just the most recent. We don't need that kind of child-play on our site.

We all jest need to leave the bantering as banter, and not get into personal attacks that drag through thread after thread.

If myself, or brasky feels a thread is getting out of line, we shall have to start locking threads, and deleting posts. That is not really something I want to make a habit, but when the discussion goes farther than the point of civility, something's gotta happen.


I know we can figure this thing out without banning anybody, and without anybody having to leave the board. Just keep it civil guys, and remember that we're all Husker fans.

Getting called out on banter such as it is;

Irule, I appreciate the function you are attempting to do.

My banter with Jed is not or should not have been an overwhelming piece to this puzzle and if any mod chose to ban him over his and my disagreements/postings then this was/is their decision.

I have never negged a poster or tagged any post as improper since I have been here on the hoop. People are entitled to post whatever they feel is appropriate or germane to the topic (in my opinion)!

Do I think Jed causes issues? You fucking right I do and I suspect there are many of us that have been around a long time (Disney days) that know this is fact but the funny thing is... Jed knows this too and kind of likes being the odd man out bucking the trend or most popular position. Part of me admires him for that as long as it is not being done just to start shit. Sometimes different is needed to make things right...

I believe he was banned sometime over the previous weekend to which I can say and I was not around and it had been days since he and I exchanged any words. When I learned of his banning, I thought it was because you guys confirmed he had multiple accounts and he was using them to troll.

No poster here has the ability to know this for sure except you guys and even then your (ip) tracker is not 100% due to having phone post, multiple computers or even (ip) blocker/redirection systems.

I also would like to add that I highly doubt Jed lost any sleep over what was being said, and I can guarantee I sure and the hell didn't.

My stance of banning any poster is and always has been on posters who have (multiple personalities and/or troll to cause shit).

Anyone from the Disney board has seen this and also knows this type of behavior created less than favorable conditions for most. Some have even admitted to doing such. Again; like many posters here I feel the use of multiple accounts (usernames) is inherently fucked up (schizophrenic like) and causes nothing but bullshit issues.

Other than this I don't have issue with what people say or feelings getting hurt If you are old enough to post your thoughts then you are old enough to handle what responses may come behind it.

If you're not, you should find a different outlet.

Out of respect for Ghost and SportsHoopla, I sent you and Brasky an e-mail stating that rather than me being a cause for distraction here on this board that I would happily go about my business to rid the potential continuation of Jed and me bantering back and forth if this would be best for the board?

I enjoy bullshitting with most of you guys and even occasionally enjoy bullshitting with Jed. Not all of his points are wrong, some points he makes I wish I could say.... and some make me chuckle.. but then comes the (attitude post) <-- which I have to admit I enjoy a tad bit as it sure beats the hell out of the
