I like what WAR attempts to do, and maybe it is the best stat out there(i dont think so). But there is a couple things i dont like about it.
1. I believe that Offensive WAR should not factor in defensive position. Especially since most real replacement players are multi positioned players...
2. I dont like how it(and most advanced statistics) do not include "REAL" stats like Runs and RBIs.(advanced stats create their own theoretical stat for runs and RBIs). I think there is something to the Runs and RBI stats that can not be measured by the theoretical stats.
3. I dont like how there is a bias against the "better offensive" defensive positions.
4. the mystery of the replacement player- i understand they are trying to make this more clear, but there are too many factors in a replacement player depending on team, lineup order, position played and many others.

I don't have much use for it. First of all, there is more more than one way to calculate it, so how good can it be.

It's positional adjustments are overstated.

Also, too many posters think that it is the only way to evaluate players. Once they post WAR, they feel that the discussion is over.

I think dWAR, and WAR for pitchers is somewhat skewed. And stats that adjust for parks I think need to be revisited, a lot of discrepancy that gets calculated as disparity.

Yeah, not a big fan of war for pitchers.
