Now I'm worried, any updates on Andy's thumb??????????

Heard he’s on the mend. He’s actually already started inserting it in his ass.

He’s apparently ahead of schedule

I have a friend who lives in SD. About 2 months ago he and his girlfriend were rock climbing and he took a bad fall which resulted in a broken foot. The two of them had to make their way down the mountain alone (nobody else was around) and then drive two hours to a hospital. (His car is a stick and she had never driven one before).

As soon as they get there his foot is turning bad colors bc of a lack of blood flow. He has immediate surgery which sets the bones in his foot but ever since has been battling infections. He’s been given IV antibiotics and they’ve had to go in multiple times to try and attack the infection directly.

His latest surgery was just last week. We are all keeping our fingers crossed that he will not lose his foot.

The infections are definitely worse than the original injuries.

This really sucks. I hope he's able to fully recover. I honestly wouldn't worry about coming back to playing football. Just worry about getting healthy for regular life right now.

man. I hope he recovers from it fully. 1st & foremost. being a high profile sports player. I am pretty confident they caught everything as soon as they could. Hoping he comes back 100%. Infections are always scary though.

Even though he is a redskin I really would like to see him return to football & succeed to be one of those really feel good stories.

Really hope for the best for Alex. This thing is about life and the person. Honestly, I always admired the guy for taking the high road and being a class act. I hope he gets well and football is secondary right now.

It is no joke. I got a staph on my finger. Took three different oral antibiotics that didn't get rid of it. Had to go to day treatment center for four days and get antibiotics by IV. Sucks
Oral antibiotics don't do shit for that. Your doctors should have been more educated. The bullshit is you can't even sue because Big Pharma wrote the rules.

Wow...sorry to hear about the friend. I had an aunt that was in a car accident and ended up having surgery on her leg and it got infected, she lost it from the knee due the infection...hopefully your friend gets to keep his foot. My aunt was many yrs ago, but weird that modern medicine can fix his broken foot within an hour or so, but struggle with an infection.
