Aldridge To Miss Some Time With Knee Injury

ccording to reports, Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will miss tomorrow’s game due to lingering pain in his left knee.

Aldridge, considered by most to be one of the league’s top talents, missed practice earlier this week with pain in the knee, and also sat out of last night’s preseason action with the same ailment. With the season less than two weeks away, it appears that the coaching staff is being careful with the franchise cornerstone.

The pain began during Wednesday’s exhibition win at Utah, but an MRI did not reveal any damage, which allowed fans to breathe a sigh of relief. The team had been riddled with injuries early in the preseason.

“That’s all I’ve got,” coach Terry Stotts said. “He experienced pain last night. He’s just being evaluated.”

In four preseason games this year, Aldridge is averaging 15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.33 blocks in just 19.0 minutes per game. He’s also shot 61.3 percent from the floor.

In Wednesday’s game, he tallied 16 points, four boards and two assists in 26 minutes, before leaving the game early and re-emerging from the locker room with ice on both knees.

Seems to me like the Blazers ruin NBA career's with injuries. What a great training staff they have, word of advise Marcus GTFO out of Portland ASAP!
