I imagine Sims will start. I think Saban will have Sims start the 1st and 3rd quarters, and Coker for the 2nd and 4th. Really only Saban knows, this is just a guess on my part.


We probably open defense in the Nickel, so Dickson or Devall will be out for the first series, and Jarrick Williams will probably get the start at Star.

I agree. I'm somewhat torn on the QB situation now, I feel if this competition has been what everybody says it is that we can win with either guy. On one hand, I would love for Sims to get the starting gig since he's been here waiting so long and has been such a team player and overall fantastic guy to represent the team. On the other hand, I'd like Coker to get the job since he has another year of eligibility left after this season. I'm not crazy about having two one year starters in back to back seasons, especially with the young guys waiting in the wings who have already been tearing it up (by all accounts). The team chemistry seems to be way better than last season (according to the players and coaches) and it needs to stay that way.

After having Cody, then Chapman, then Jessie, Ivory left a lot to be desired. A'Shawn is a definite upgrade.

I'm sure. He just had so long to develop into more, just kinda thought maybe he would eventually.

It's quiet telling that Coker obviously wasn't going to waltz onto campus and be given the job.

Yeah but I want to see us on all cylinders to get a good idea of the team and all that. We are loaded at the position, so I suppose it won't be too much dropoff if any.
