We are only 1.5 games behind the Red Sox. I hope we can catch up to them. I'm not sure how it works but i think we would claim the wild card if we tied, because we won the regular season series against them.

No we would win the west, they would still be the wild card so long as no one else passes them

LAA could very well keep charging right behind TEX and take the AL WC over BOS or TBR. That would significanly change the post season matchups.

-ALE winner would host LAA
-DET would host TEX at Comerica.

With the number of games still to play between NYY and TBR ... it is not out of the question that TBR takes the ALE and if LAA is charging on TEX heels ... then both BOS and NYY may get an early vacation. Wouldn't that be a poke in the eye?

I would hate to start out in Detroit.... IF we play them i want it to be in the ALCS. They are the worst matchup for us.

Detroit is the hottest team in baseball right now. Just look at what the Giants did last year when they caught fire, and the Tigers offense is ten times better than anything the Giants put on the field with their run to the title.

Detroit is the most dangerous team in baseball right now, and probably heading into October. No one wants to match up with them in a 5 game series where Justin Verlander will throw twice, with Fister and Scherzer in between. Verlander is basically a guaranteed win and Fister or Scherzer will win.
