Yeah I'm not going to give up on this team because they lost in the Trop. That hellhole has been a house of horrors for the Red Sox. I do feel uneasy about the rotation though the offense missed a lot of opportunities as well. Sale will be back soon and Houck will be back up soon for the upcoming doubleheader, but I'd rather just keep him in the rotation and bump Richards. I know people would like to see Whitlock in the rotation, but I'd rather just keep him in the pen as a multi-inning reliever. Besides, why risk another Daniel Bard situation?

I would really like to win tomorrow to at least ensure they finish this 16 game stretch with a winning record and leave Tampa with 1st place. It doesn't get much easier with 3 in Detroit (who has been playing pretty solid baseball since an awful April (they're 41-32 since their 9-24 start), and 4 in Toronto.

I don't have much confidence in a division title, but I still feel very good about this team getting to 90+ wins (they need to go 27-29 to get to 90-72). That should be enough to get into the playoffs in some capacity. I'm just glad that there's been a baseball season and that the Red Sox have been fun to watch after an abysmal 2020, it's been an enjoyable ride.
