I guess he figures those 2 innings at 1B are better than the hundreds of innings he’s seen him at 3B?? The Torres/Andujar left side of the infield probably can’t be allowed to happen. I’m sure the stat guys have that configuration flagged.

Red Sox recalled INF Michael Chavis from Triple-A Pawtucket.​

Chavis will take the place of the injured Enrique Hernandez (hamstring) on the Red Sox active roster. He should see fairly regular playing time at second base while Hernandez is sidelined. Keep in mind, Chavis crushed 18 homers as a rookie with the Red Sox in 95 games during the 2019 season, so there's a potentially impact power bat here
