Yeah, the Sox need to sell high while they can. If he still had multiple years I'd keep him, but he's a FA after this year. Even with Bello sucking and Crochet hurt, the rotation is quite good and the Sox should go into 27 with Crochet/Suarez/Early/Tolle/Bennett/Bello?

He is using OBP as production instead of WAR? Volpe sure could improve but he does have 9.2 bWAR and a bWAR/162 of 2.9 that has bottom tier MLB starter value that is 2-4.9. There is 32-AL & NL players since 1920 with 1700-2000 PA that have less bWAR than Volpe.

Delmon Young was a #1 prospect and finished with 3.2 career WAR with over 4000 PA

Volpe has certainly been a disappointing hitter, but his base running and defense have at least made him useful.
