Judge was starting to lock in too. But too little too late. Shame.

Series should be 3-2

Losing both Cole starts because of dumb shit is what did us in

It is what it is though. Dodgers were the better team on paper but this series should have gone 6 at least

Rather our season end in the WS instead of getting embarrassed by the Royals

Resign Soto and try to complete the job next season.

I wonder if Gleyber's teammates saw this video and got jealous.

the AL is gonna be brutal next year.

Yanks will be right there if they re-sign Soto. Jazz for the whole year. Gil in his 2nd year. Need a first basemen. Other than a 1st basemen and Soto, no true "needs" but with their bank roll another reliever and maybe a starter would help. Schmidt as the #3 isnt great.

Orioles NEED to re-sign Burnes. If they dont sign Burnes they can still be a good regular season team but no chance in the playoffs. Bautista will be back which is huge.

Not sure there are any other teams in the East to worry about- Rays will be solid but I dont see the high end talent. Boston needs doesnt have enough talent. Jays have some talent but just seem a mess.

Central will be good again.

Guards will bring back a very solid team- but need to figure out the rotation and still need another bat. Cant expect the pen to pitch like 6 innings a playoff game and not get worn down to nothing.

Royals need bats and bullpen but will be dangerous with Lugo and Ragans.

Twins- i dont know- Yanks own them- that is for sure- health is their thing- if Buxton, Lewis and Correa are healthy they have a nice core- but all 3 are always hurt and the pen is mediocre and the rotation is nothing special- not great defense

Tigers might be interesting but they need like 3 bats and 2 starters

Astros have some major question marks with Bregman a FA- and i think Tucker wll be in his walk year- but Tucker, Alvarez, Altuve and getting some pitching healthy wll help

Mariners have a rotation- need JROD to do a lot more than he did this year

who knows with Texas- but DeGrom seems like he wll be healthy and Lankford and Carter should be better.

If we assume Yanks keep Soto- they are still the favorites in the AL---- id say the Guards and Orioles (if they keep Burnes) are next---- then another tier with a number of teams. Red Sox have money to spend and some talent and could get back into it if the owner really wanted to. Will be interesting to see.

Losing the world series on your home turf is hard.

Losing the world series after going up five is even worse.

Losing the world series by making unforgiveable errors in front of your own crowd while your ace is pitching is spectacular.

Having your ace make one of the errors is top notch.

The best thing for non yankee fans of course is that after making the world series this year, it is likely that Aaron Boone keeps his job.

Its a good good day.

Still processing what we saw on Wednesday night. Someone called it the worst inning a team has ever had in the World Series and I have to agree.

This team was flawed in the most basic of ways-fundamentally, and it was only a matter of time before it bit them square in the ass. Did not see it all happening in one horrific inning, but it did. And it was entirely predictable for a team who's manager thinks the start and end of his duties is filling out a lineup card.

Said it a long time ago, this team is never winning a championship under Boone. I feel stronger about that today than ever.

I am pretty sure they're going to bring him back anyway, because winning just isn't all that important to the Yankees anymore.

I’m all for blaming Boone for other things but can’t blame him for the inning. Aaron Judge decided to have his first error of the season on a play he makes 100 out of 100 times. Volpe makes a poor throw as a former GG SS while Cole is lazy on a play that should have been an out.

What I do blame Boone for is his decision to bring is his game 1 decision and also the game 5 decision to go with Kahnle which tied his hands behind his back. As they said on the Kay show yesterday you either leave in Holmes so you can bring in Weaver at the first sign of trouble or you bring in Weaver to start the inning. Going with Kahnle meant he had to face the minimum of 3 batters

Biggest brain fart imo is Cole NOT covering 1st...

Rizzo did go and get Mookie's grounder clearly thinking Cole would be covering.

Volpe you could see throw would be short as soon as Hernandez made the "turn" to round 3rd

I blame him for all of it. This is not a well coached team, and the baserunning and defensive stats all season long bore that out just as much as the game 5 implosion did.

Boone likes to think he's a player's manager, but he's their buddy, not their boss. That's really at the heart of it. Never saw anything like this with the Martin Yankees, the Showalter/Torre Yankees, hell even the Girardi Yankees played good fundamental baseball. Shit like we saw the other night never would have happened because the problem would would have been fixed in March or April, one way or another.

The saddest part of all of it for me is I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Nothing is changing if he stays.
