After several years of reading threads on the main NFL page that are dedicated to the NFCE (banter) and the AFCN (hate), I was hoping to get something similar going for the AFC West. The division hasn't been extremely competitive over recent years (Chiefs domination), so there was no need. However, the tide seems to be turning and competition has definitely picked up. We also have a number of posters that pull for these teams (well, except the Chargers) that it seemed logical to get some spirited dialogue going.

Potential thread starting topics:
  • Will Harbaugh finally get the Chargers over the hump and cement Justin Herbert as an elite QB?
  • Will the Chargers overtake the Broncos and win the AFC West this year?
  • When will Chargers home games stop feeling like they are played at a neutral site? I hope never!
  • Will Mahomes be ready to play in week 1 of the NFL 2026 season?
  • How many more years until Andy Reid hangs 'em up?
  • Does Kelce retire at the end of this season?
  • Will the new stadium ruin the mystique of Arrowhead?
  • Does Mark Davis fire Pete Carroll at the end of the season?
  • Does Maxx Crosby demand a trade and the Raiders do it to acquire needed draft capital to rebuild?
  • Will the Raiders top draft pick this year finally land them a franchise QB?
  • Can the Broncos hang onto the #1 seed in the AFC this year?
  • Will the Broncos live up to their record in the playoffs or end up with an early exit?
  • Will Denver get a Super Bowl within one year of their new stadium being finished (2031, same as projection for Chiefs, I think)
  • Which long-term, two team rivalry in the West is best?
  • When will an AFC West team win a Super Bowl next?
  • Which team has the best fan base and why?
  • Why do you hate the Chiefs?
  • Why do you hate the Chargers?
  • Why do you hate the Raiders?
  • Why do you hate the Broncos?

We ain't trading Mad Max.....at least we better not.

And starting to think Carroll could be fired after the season after insisting he deserves a 2nd year.

Raiders are gonna be in a full rebuild. Getting capital from Crosby could happen. It will take some time to rebuild the roster and he won't want to miss out on his prime years.

I know Davis is tired of the coaching cycle but my God, was this a rough year for your team.

Christmas in KC will be fun. I'll have to thank the Kansans for buying us a stadium with the kleptocracy they have for a government.

Surely the Chargers are 1 and done with their OL. Its just as bad as the Chiefs OL they just didn't throw boneheaded interceptions like we did when we played

As a Kansan I am ticked about the new stadium and how much the state of Kansas promised the Chiefs. I'm watching my own ownership with the Broncos pretty much guarantee they are paying for everything and the only thing they need from the state/city is approval of where to build the new stadium. The fact they picked a run down part of the city that is no longer being used for its original purpose again just shows their commitment to Denver and helping the city.

Our governor talking about how this won't cost the tax payers anything, yet when you dig into it yeah the taxes are still mostly coming down on fellow Kansans. Adding extra taxes for the businesses in the area as a sales tax will mean they will just raise prices.

Also just learned the rent the Chiesf will be paying of $7 million a year doesn't even get back to the state. It goes in a pot for the Chiefs to use for renovations and operational costs (security and parking attendants). So pretty much it is just a way of saying "Look the Chiefs are paying rent" while really they are just paying themselves for a cost they would have already had to pay.

Patiently waiting for draft position at this point.
Lol yeah. It's why I said I actually wouldn't have a problem with tanking the rest of the season...

'Wont cost tax payers' = diverting revenue away from useful things into the Chiefs pockets.

Or at least thats the gist Im getting. Maybe this plays out better with the general public than the terminally online

Pretty much. Amazing how these cities/states can't afford roads/hospitals/schools but boom NFL team wants a new stadium and $3 billion shakes out of the couch.

Has there ever been a fan of the Chargers on the Hoop? Are there actually Chargers fans out there? Big game for them against the Texans. Week 18 vs. Denver could be for all the AFC West marbles. A couple of Oregon quarterbacks square off.

I'd give the packer 1st in a heartbeat.

guy plays all out every snap
I think every single team will be calling on him. Honestly Dallas would be crazy to not go for him. As long as Jerry is involved he might not. :L

Great point.
wonder if the Raiders would take both of Dallas #1's for Crosby and a second.
Crosby and Quinnen Williams both play all out play after play and lead by example. HUGE plus for what has been the Dallas defensive leadership.
YES PLEASE
