Yeah, I don't see how it really helps either team. Put AD on the Blazers and even if he strays healthy, the Blazers aren't going any farther in the playoffs than they've been getting with Dame and they'd be less fun to watch.

For the Lakers, AD arguably fits better with Lebron than any teammate he's ever had. Obviously, the Lakers would still be a contender, but a little less so, imo. Which feels really weird to say considering how great Dame is.
Yeah the only way it would work for the lakers if they acquired Dame without giving up AD which would be impossible.

Not impossible, just a 0.01% chance based on an article I read. lol

I guess I’m on the different side of his but if I’m Portland there is no fn way I make that trade.

A Lakers package of Kuzma, KCP, and Schroder would match salaries, but Portland has no reason to accept such an offer. Portland is more likely to move CJ IMO, and would actually be perhaps a better fit for the Lakers. Still, Lakers don't have the right pieces to interest the Blazers.

I could kind of see them having some interest in Kuzma because he is a young forward who can defend and there's a chance that his struggles with consistency on offense could just be because he's sharing with 2 superstars.

But KCP and Schroder are basically lesser versions of CJ.

biggest value kcp and harrell can be are their expiring contracts. So trading for a horford from okc would save the thunder huge money in 2022-23.

I'd say he's more a 4-5.

For sure.

But he is also versatile enough and skilled enough to play 3 if he needed to.

He just hasn’t been asked to that.

For a short stretch? I guess. He could definitely switch and guard a 3.

Nope.
That said...I don't see Dame staying in Portland either.

I think he'd be better served by taking his talents over to the Eastern Conference.
Specifically the Knicks (preferably), or the Heat, and possibly even the Pacers, or Hornets though unlikely.

I'd take Dame for AD

Not because i think he's a better fit but because I know he will be available to play and because I think you can approximate AD and what he does for less money than what you can approximate Dame for

Horford is older but he can still play....I would offer Kuz, KCP, Harrell and a 2nd rounder.

Try and keep Schroder.

He fits our team and immediate help for James and AD.

yeah the only question is how okc feels about paying Kuzma longer than al’s contract.

Isn't Harrell a free agent?

Kuz makes a lot less and the others cone off the books after next season.

But he makes almost as much as what they’d pay al if they cut him before next year (al is only partially guaranteed) so they save almost no money next season.

that’s why their opinion on Kuzma matters
