I'm biased, but I'll go Acuna. WAR agrees with me too.

Soto looks like more of a professional hitter.

Acuna looks like the better overall player. This kid has every talent that you'd want in a player. If he could cut down on his Ks, he'd be in Trout's league.

The thing is, these guys are 20, 21 years old. There's a long time to figure out who the winner is.

I’d be happy with either of them.

Soto has the offensive edge

But Acuna makes up for it in the all around game

Jose Urena needs to bean Soto too so we can see how Soto bounces back from that so we can get a toughness comparison.

I just wonder sometimes if Acuna has the same foot problem Lonnie Smith had. For someone so fast, that plays such good defense, and knocks the hell out of the ball, he stumbles and sometimes even falls more than any player I've ever seen. That's my only real complaint.

I will add.

The team with the clear edge here is the Braves. No way the Nats get Soto for the discount Acuna signed at.

Still unbelievable he took that deal

Acuna as an overall player, but I like Soto's bat better. They're both awesome players.

I'm expecting to be hit with more sanctions when it comes out that they're illegally giving Acuna and Ozzie extra benefits to get them to agree to low ball deals. Especially Ozzie(Acuna is better than Ozzie, but Ozzie signed for above average middle reliever money)

Soto is a career .296/.405/.549 (143 OPS+) hitter and he isn't even 21 yet. Acuna might have a 40/40 season in his age 21 season. Acuna's offensive numbers are down from last year (his SLG% is 33 points less and his overall OPS+ is down 20 points), but he's still having a great year especially for his age. these guys are awesome baseball players.

Yes!!!

Acuna signed until 2027 and a better fielder

Soto better hitter (by a hair) and appears more disciplined at the plate.

Can I take 'em both?
Haha. I'd definitely take them both on my team as well!

Acuna can do more things and effect games without the benefit of a hit.
