I think this should count because even though it technically wasn't the NFL, the show was clearly about a team playing in the top level of professional football and that it was set in the USA.

Yeah, me too. I got hooked on that show. I wasn't expecting much out of a drama series on ESPN, but whoever produced that show did a great job of making it interesting.

And that's the first time I watched Russell Hornsby, the actor who played RB Leon Taylor. I love his work. I loved him on Grimm. I have to check out more of the shows and films he's done.
