Had Richt not retired, he'd be at the top of the list at 17 of 17.

I'm a bit surprised he retired so abruptly. He figured he would do at least five years at Miami.

He would have been fired after this season had he stayed, but he hired his incompetent son to an important position, and he'd rather retire than fire his own son(and he was told his son needed to go IIRC). Given his age and financial status, I don't blame him. Hasn't had a legendary career, but he's leaving behind a legacy that isn't anything to be ashamed of.

Petersen is nice and all but outside of his one bowl game against an uninspired Oklahoma squad, has his teams even shown up in a game against a P5 school? He sure can beat up teams with inferior talent but seems to have an issue with teams that have equal talent.

Petersen's Boise teams rocked some P5 teams including a #19 UGA squad in Atlanta. His UW teams not so much. Hopefully that's about to change with Browning gone.

Are these the threads you start when a coach can't win a Natty?

I don't see Ohio State's HC on this list but I give you permission to post in this thread anyways.
