Predicted this two years ago, Players aren't stupid as a union, they want to be paid in line with NBA players. Running backs are being abused in the current structure, and that will have to change in the new CBA. There will be more fully guarantee or high percentage guarantees in contracts, thanks in part to players like Kirk Cousins. 18 games will be a tough sell to the players union, even if there are fewer preseason games. A 50 million dollar contract, spread over 18 games, yields a smaller game paycheck than the same amount over 16 games. There's plenty more to this, but you get the idea!
