They could free up considerable space. They could also free up space from the 2022 salary of whichever QB they end up with. The Titans are currently over projected 2022 cap numbers but they are not in serious difficulties.

The 49ers don't have a lot of contracts they could adjust to free up space and they have limited Draft capital.

The Niners reportedly tried to trade for Rodgers before the draft last year and GB said no. Now that the 9ers don't have a 1st rd pick in 2022 or 2023, a trade for Rodgers wouldn't really work.
