Now, with that said...

I thought it was pretty good. A couple of things irked me though, such as how they were able to kill the monster. They kept showing the newspapers indicating that these things were "indestructible" while showing what appeared to be the military shooting at it. Or that they hunted by "sound", yet no one ever considered using sound as a weapon when we literally have sonic weapons or at least explain why the real sonic weapons didn't work. I wish there was some back story to the monsters arrival or whatever that would have been nice. I was okay with not having such information in the movie 'It Comes At Night' as it appeared to be a viral incident or at least not a known monster. Also, as someone with 2 young children, a 2 year old and a 6 year old... this was tough to watch/think about. I understand that it is a movie, but the purpose behind the experience is to generate emotions and create an empathic response to the characters and situations.

That opening scene was brutal, killing off a kid in essence for just being a kid is heartbreaking.

I'd give it 7 out of 10.

My god was that boring. Gf made me stay or I would have left an hour in. I applaud the concept, but I just found the overall experience insulting to my time.

Looking at reviews I’m in the minority in my feelings toward the movie. I just didn’t find it good at being suspenseful, at being a syfy, or being scary. If it could have pulled one off I’d forgive the other holes.

It really wasn't a horror movie.
