I believe I read a stat somewhere (not sure if accurate) the Pacers have won 42 playoff games in the time the Pistons won their last one...

Yes, it's technically true that the Pacers have never beaten the Pistons in a playoff series, so this one will be personal for Pacers fans any way you spin it.. The first two meetings (1990, 2004) were championship years for Detroit... The third meeting their fans literally manipulated our best player out for the season (Spin it whatever way you want, but we all saw it).

In spite of being an absolutely pathetic franchise (all NBA fans know this to be fact), Pistons fans will still use their three titles as a bragging point. These are the same fans that haven't seen their team win a playoff game (not a series, a single GAME), since 2008.

I'm accustomed to these kind of arguments in my own state, believe it or not. Our two primary colleges, IU and Purdue, often like to engage in internet brawls regarding their men's basketball programs...

IU has five titles (their last being in 1987) to Purdue's none. But because Purdue is clearly seen as the better program this generation, IU fans often look out of place in these arguments.

Dare I really compared the Pistons to IU??? Shit, at least IU has won some NCAA tourney games SINCE 2008.... :heh:

So yeah, I'm still giving Detroit too much credit on that one.

Then there's the whole misguided notion that fans it Detroit think they're too "manly" to wear teal... So instead, they insist on sporting the absolute most boring and outdated logo and uniforms in all of sports, out of hope of reminding opposing teams of the ghost of Bill Laimbeer. How exactly has that worked out for you guys the last 15 years?

Because we're better people, we'll spare you your first two playoff wins since '08.

The fact that you believe Ron Artest was “manipulated” and victimized is simply hilarious.

He went up into the stands and punched out a fan.

And the guy he hit wasn’t even the one who threw the beer.

He is lucky he was able to eventually continue his NBA career.

This isn't even a match up yet. What the hell are you going on about?
So your highlight is winning some playoff games? Congrats you have won some. Do you get a banner for that?
Pistons goals are a little higher. It won't happen this year (neither will the Pacers), but I like what they are building.
Enjoy kicking us while we're down, it won't last much longer, ringless one.

As to the teal jerseys, I understand why you like them because your favorite player played wearing them, but the dislike has nothing to do with manliness. It has to do with winning. The teal era was one of disappointment. The Pistons had a lot of talent on those teal teams that did nothing but under perform. And the teal was a jump on the trendy color. Combine the two, being trendy and under performing, why would we want to go back to that? Maybe once in a while to remember the good players, but regularly: no. You may think the Pistons uniforms are boring, but they are classic with a tradition of winning; something I don't expect you could understand.

Your valuing playoff wins so much and championships so little makes me understand that you are not a true Denver Nuggets fan, just a bandwagoner after all.

And why do the Pistons live in your head so much?
