He is a good recruiter. He just has the misfortune of a chief rival that wins the recruiting battles AND is better at developing talent.

That baffles me to a point, as player development was a major strength of his at Stanford.

Not so fast!

All things considered, this class turned out pretty darn well through the first signing day. Kids weren't allowed to visit campus, Michigan had a terrible season and uncertainty looms for Harbaugh and his staff. Lost a couple of linebackers but gained a top 50 RB and top 100 WR; beat out Georgia and Bama. Our top 4 players in the top 100 are a QB, RB, WR and OT. That is pretty much an ideal haul if you ask me. Highest ranked QB we've had in the 247 era, highest since Mallet. One of the top RB commits we've gotten in the recruiting era. Pretty nice. Hopefully they actually can flip things around coaching wise to develop them.

Not necessarily. Michigan's struggles this year are correlated with our pretty piss poor class in 2018; ranked outside the top 20, 0 top 100 players and only 7 low-end four star recruits. We should see 2019's class emerge a little better next year, and start to see the impact of 2020's top 15 class; especially in the secondary. This kinda illustrates how consistency in recruiting is important.

Things I want to happen if Harbaugh stays - fire our QB coach. Spend money on someone who should be a higher position title and make them develop these got damn QB's. Not having an elite QB has been the difference between Michigan beating OSU a couple times and going 0-5.

I think if Day was in Michigan and Harbaugh was in Columbus, it would be Michigan winning and the Buckeye's not.

Its your head coach as to why you are not getting into the B1GCG and CFP.

You take Day and put him the HC at Michigan and you achieve success IMO.

There's no way that's true. Ryan day at Michigan still loses to a well coached OSU team for the foreseeable future.
