You know that as of the 1st of Jan. you can legally purchase a certain amount of marijuana in CO and all they require is proof that you are 21 years old now?

I left CO on the 1st and didn't buy any. You can't take it across state lines, but if I wanted to I could have legally purchased marijuana in the U.S. with nothing other than proof of age and some money. That's fucking awesome.

People in Nebraska are scared to even discuss marijuana and it's legal and taxed in CO now.

But weed has that "it" factor. The extreme right decided years ago that weed is for the hippie liberals so we need to ban it like it's the worst thing on the planet. Now people blindly follow that rule without even having a clue what weed is like.

But yes, Nebraska should at least legalize medical. Drug war in regards to mary is silly.

More than that. They should decriminalize the agricultural growth of it for use in a number of products.

There is a reason one of it's slang terms is "rope". It used to be grown to make rope. It can be used for ethanol, to make fabrics, and for erosion control.

Do you know why you always find Marijuana growing along the railroad tracks? It's because way back when the railroads planted it there to prevent erosion. It grows like a "weed" and requires no maintenance (fertilizers or irrigation). It has little to no THC value.

Yes, that type of cannabis is also criminal.

I believe South Dakota has had a push for growing hemp. Was reading on it a year or so ago. Not sure what happened with that. But yes, hemp should be legal as an ag product.

And not just rope and paper, Fords first model t ran on hemp oil.

When I was a youngin, we spent a lot of time at grandpas's farm in the summer. We were labor.. My aunt/uncle from NY came into town and my cousin asked "where's Kathy?"(my sister)_, My grandma said She's out "walkin' beans" because we were weeding the bean field.

My cousin from NY said "I didn't know she had a dog named beans.".
