Instead of a regular season?
Dumb
Dumb, but better than nothing...
Theoretically, you could across different parts of the country. How does it help though? They can't bubble 350 teams

There'd be bubbles for each round, so...
I don't see why the ACC would be pushing that idea when they've already decided they're gonna play football.
The bottom line is that everybody is going to do everything in their power for the tourney to happen in some form, because they can't lose that revenue for 2 years in a row.
I believe they are talking about teams playing only a Conf Schedule during the regular season
and then everybody going to the NCAA's.
In reality, that would only add one week to the tournament. (Based on 347 teams)
We have 4 play-in games now.
In a 347 team set-up...You could have 182 teams in a play-in game and the other 165 getting a bye.
After the 91 play-in games are played...91 advance to the 165 to form 256 total remaining.
T&F week 1... Round of 256
S&S week 1...round of 128
The following week we'd be down to 64 and proceed from there.
I'd take half a loaf at this point
Covid robbed me of one of my oldest spring traditions: leaving work early on a Thursday to go to a bar and order wings and a pitcher
Dumb, but awsomeDumb, but better than nothing...
I set my alarm for tBIG tourney that day.Seriously. The least this stupid fucking disease could of done is held off for like 3 more goddamn weeks.
Playing an entire college basketball season, suffering through Weakling Wednesday of conference tournies to wake up on Thursday to the season being over was a kick to the balls I hope to never experience again
AKA the best.Dumb, but awsome
I like it because the tourney is my favorite sports time of the year. Being bigger is better. More upsets, more matchups and more do or die games. This doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Ftr
