Head to head hasnt meant anything since 2011. Maybe they should just let Baylor and TCU both in so we can watch them play again just to make sure Baylor is better??

Ha ha. Might as well. It seems there were plenty of nutswingers ready to let in two sec teams. Might as well let in two teams from the b12

Head to head is trumped by eye test in college sports. Always has been. I have seen a team beat another team in basketball twice and finish with near identical records and the other team got in the field over them.

I'm pissed for Baylor. Can you imagine if Bama had beat a teaM but they ranked that team ahead of them simply because they wanted to? Me either.

Then to rank TCU above FSU. That is outrageous. FSU hasn't been great but they have won all their games unlike TCU who lost to a team that has an identical record and is ranked below them.

It's funny... when they announced the Committee system, I listed a litany of reasons why it is shittier than a BCS style system.

But i did list a couple of reasons why a committee system is better: One of them was: So that if there is an injustice that the numbers spit out, then there would be a committee of humans to review and make the proper adjustment.

So, this is the height of irony. The Committee is supposed to the be the overview board to fix a "mess up" in the rankings if one team is slightly ahead of another that has the same record, 7 opponents in common, and has won the head to head.

Instead, it is the Committee creating the "mess up."

Nothing in this world can be good.

In 2003 was a greater weight put onto the computers or was it the same 1/3? Same question aimed for 2004 for that matter.

Overall performance should trump head to head, especially when the head-to-head was a three point home win. If you think otherwise, that is your problem.

Not if head to head also decided the conference champion as well as a stand alone head to head game.

Ask yourself this: Does TCU win that game in Fort Worth?

If the answer is yes (and it clearly is), you just admitted to thinking a conference schedule should determine the playoff teams.

Thanks for the rankings. I looked all of them up and they were all damn near the same. For the record I am wrong in thinking the computer polls would make a difference, I still feel the same but regardless I am wrong about the computers.

lol calm down. i predict a few losses this weekend that will turn this thing upside down. its going to be a mess and people are GOING TO LOSS THEIR MIND. but thats what we are stuck with, picking 4 teams out of 120 to play for the title. hope one day it will be conference champions playing for the title in some manner.

Those numbers are from the Massey Composite.

I'm not sure how far off from the BCS computers those are.

Even though, the top 4 from the committee doesn't stray far from these.
