At some point it has to be about what a player does not what other players did. His career numbers are right there with the best all time. Who cares he played 1B or DH we all have to draft one right? He wasn't a bad fielder...

I wish you all the best on drafting a better 1st baseman.

Foxx and Thome lol

The most impressive thing about Palmeiro was his patience...not that he drew a ton of walks but he had very little strikeouts. Impressive for a power hitter

Raffy is viewed like Sosa. Everyone knows Bonds and Rocket were great with or without the juice. Most think Raffy and Sosa were good, not great without it, fair or not

I don't agree with this. I don't view Palmeiro at all the way I do Sosa. Palmeiro never went from 40 HRS to 60. His body didn't look completely different later in his career like Sosa's did.

Also, I don't give two shits about what Milk was rambling about, make all the excuses you want when a player is one of only five to ever do something that's impressive period!

Ritz is one of five ice figure skating champions to take off his skate and try to stab a competitor

What excuses have I made?? He is a perfect example of a player whose career is better than his prime... He played for a long time and was great for his whole career, but him at his best is nowhere near elite...

You realize he had only one season with an OPS of 1.000 or higher?? But he did have 9 seasons of an OPS higher than .900... If you value career more than prime, then sure he is top 10 in this mock... But I will always value Prime significantly more than Career for these mocks... and IMO he is not even top 20 1B/DH in this mock...

So you better be drafting Mark Fidrych from now on in every draft!

You're right why would I want a player who averaged in his prime .300 40 120

Anybody wanna trade for Raffy, will accept late round pick, he sucks so...

Don't argue extremes... Fidyrich had ONE good season... That was all... who is talking about one good season??

But I would much rather have a player of similar value who had better best seasons than a player who was just better longer...

I didn't win the championship because of the stabbing. For some reason the league frowns upon that kind of behavior.
